Porthleven Harbour Markets
Porthleven’s market has been operating since 2007 with many of the traders returning every year.
The harbour and surrounding land has been owned by the Porthleven Harbour & Dock Company since 1977. During its ownership of over 40 years, Porthleven Harbour & Dock Company have developed and refurbished many of the buildings around the harbour which has contributed greatly to the economic growth of Porthleven. The company also manages the harbour and moorings ensuring it is maintained and safe for all users.
Traders have been coming to our ourdoor market for over 10 years and the market is well established and loved by many who visit Porthleven. The addition of the huts on the right of the harbour head has supported many small businesses with affordable retail space. In 2019 the large industrial sheds in the shipyard were developed into business premises and the the Shipyard Market was created. The Shipyard Market houses a cafe, small permanent retail spaces and two pitches with rotating traders. The space also provides a space for events and an arts wall providing a platform for local artists to sell in collaboration with Porthleven Arts.
